It’s driving me crazy Being apart from you It’s breaking me down now But what can I do? I finally realised How I feel for you The way I’m feeling right now baby It’s breaking my heart in two I’m not loving it baby Without you in my life No I just can’t take it I want you in my life And what am I supposed to do With you so far away? The way I’m feeling right now baby Oh what more can I take Oh do me a favour, and Tell me that you care Girl I just can’t take it Girl I want you there, and Do me a favour Tell me that you hear Girl I just can’t take it Girl I want you near
2.
I don’t know why I called you that night I had the feeling that something wasn’t right My Valentine’s plans were falling through And all the while, I was making plans to see you I never knew why I let you go Didn’t realise just what I didn’t know And now what’s happening with you and me Oh baby please just let me dare to dream It’s been such, such a long time But you have always been on my mind Now we’ve come together in the same town I can’t help wondering if something’s going down
3.
You’ll find me walking in my mind Trying to find Traces of sense between the lines What had slipped behind Was that a shot in the dark That I just heard Coming from the house next door? Find fame but watch your luck Here comes the rain Emerge on the other side scarred and used But they’re snapping up their next prey Was that a shot in the dark That I just heard Coming from the house next door? You better pray today that soul will survive Another day, but if it doesn’t hey When today’s work is done What is left can trigger despair Was that a shot in the dark That I just heard Coming from the house next door?

New Religion 04:08
That’s the way the world is, the way it always will be Though the style of suit may change the glint in the eye remains When the fox is money, the hounds abound In their redoubling eagerness to please the lord Slip into a new era, more comfortable More easily able to rid you of your cash Strip you of your bucks, entice you in a headlong rush To the shopping mall ahead of the throng Up with the rest, gotta have the best Surf the tide of the new religion of easily impressed Corporations seek fresh new life to consume To make their own size grow Can’t we stop upsizing our McDonalds meal-deals And downsize our own appetites All in a rush for the mall ahead of you
5.
I was walking in the city, and something came to me What’s the point of living, if you can’t be free Mama always told me, all things change in time And the only thing worth giving, is what you can’t leave behind Gotta be something real, got the fight to live to feel So why are we so foolish, we buy up all these things We get so damn addicted, to all our golden rings Now I don’t know my purpose, and I don’t know my pain But there’s only just one thing, that keeps on pounding in my brain You may say I’m falling for the same old shit I fell before, but You wouldn't say that every single soul will knock on the same door, and You could say I’m feeling in the dark for something that I need You would help me if you only knew exactly why I bleed
6.
When I wake in the morning light And I reach over to you lying by my side And I know, and I know, I know you’ll be alright But I didn’t have the heart, to fight your fight You’re alone in this old world And you need someone to say I know you’ll be alright x2 Sometimes it seems so dark but I know, you’ll find your light I know you’ll be alright It came around to the middle of July And I needed all the help that you could provide And I knew, oh yeah I knew, I knew you’d want to stay And I didn’t have the heart to send you away Cos we’re alone in this old world And we need someone to say Cos time and again, you mend me When I’m at my end, you save me
7.
So there I am sunk at home no ladies and my Money’s blown writing lyrics thinking about stuff never Realising it would get so rough Ring ring goes my telephone And she’s saying that she’s all alone Easy easy ain’t that sweet And now she’s saying that she wants to meet Mobile phone love It’s messy but it’s fun Mobile phone love Your world could come undone She’s saying she’s itchy all over And she’s moaning and panting like rover I can hear her getting off her gear It’s clear come knocking like a four-leaf clover Opportunity rare But I’m already there Telling me what she needs to feel complete I’m thinking how that would be such a treat She needs me to help her along Now speak to me down the telephone You can complete what I started Now she’s getting excited Call me up from another state, cos she was starting to contemplate That she didn’t want to be alone, and so she rings my telephone She’s looking around found a bucket of ice Damn you know that would be nice I want to take her all the way On the phone baby that’s how I want to play She’s in on the game she starts telling me Saying my name I’m going crazy Temperature is searing ice is disappearing She says it’s kinda cold but her boiling point is nearing She’s begging me please saying freaky things I’m going crazy making her phone ring I can tell she’s melting she’s taking a belting No clothes on but she sounds like she’s sweltering Found out what she never knew No no no she never had no clue) Oh we both found out what we never knew Mobile phones can be good for you

Rolling 03:42
Rolling down the road towards a place that once I thought I’d call my home Now the only thing that matters is a place to bury your next bone All the critics tell you that the best thing that you’ve done’s been done before And all the pretty vultures wait around and bide their time and file their claws I know what’s combing ash for me I know what’s been a smash with me I know what's been an extra dose of just another crush for me I know the only time when something really mattered all that much to me Heading back towards a place where once there was a heart and soul for me And all these pretty debutants they make a pass but clearly they can’t see That there is no-one still who holds a candle, holds a torch to what we’ve been And things that once made sense, make me confess that now I’m blinded completely Well I know what’s been the best for me I know what stands the test for me I know what lights the fire and what denies the funeral pyre for me And what becomes of those who go on living though they’re yearning to be free? And all these paths I chose And all these signs I know And all these faults my own And all these ways back home
9.
Gone a long time, where does it go Gone a long time, who do you become Can you forget, who you are? Won’t you bring me back, to where I was? Cos I can barely think any more, what for? Gone a long time, where does it go? Gone a long time, gone a long time, now and then I know Can you become something new? Gone a long time, where does it go? Gone a long time, gone a long time, now and then I know Can you become something new?

I’m not going to write, a song about us Cos try as I might, the words get mixed up And all of my songs, are messy breakups So why would I write, when things are looking up? Seems like bad luck It’s not going to be, the same as last time When all of our trials, end up in matched rhymes The only time, that I write a song When all that we had, has all gone wrong May as well write a song I thought that it could be, different this time And I could write a happy song, and say what’s on my mind Now I’m seeing roadblocks, right on up ahead Looks like I’m going back to writing sad old songs instead I flicked through the book, of happy endings But I couldn’t find a single one that fit I don’t want to be, some sad-ending guy So that’s why I say please don’t ask me to try It just won’t fly Don’t ask me to try It just won’t fly

about

Earthman was created during periods where Simon was examining his place in the world. He sees the world as a whole, with similarities between all people – because we are a global species.
